Closing Ceremony 28 February

Now the time has arrived to bid a good-bye to our lovely students but at the same time it is a moment of joy as they have achieved their goal of becoming a Certified Yoga Teacher. After successful final assessment sessions, students get certificates of completion of Yoga Teacher Training Course. We congratulate our dedicated students on this big day and wish them bright shiny future ahead as a Yoga Teacher.
Practicing Karma Yoga 26 February

Keeping your Karma right is the most important learning that Ajarya Yoga Academy cultivates in its students. All Yogis are directed for cleaning work enhancing their sense of social responsibilities. In the guidance of yoga Gurus, Ajarya students went to some streets at Rishikesh and picked garbage and dumped them into dust-bins. This is how they practiced Karma Yoga. Come to Ajarya and get yourself transformed in a positive manner!!
Props: Helping aids in Yoga 24 February

Yoga practice is more than just a routine workout. To perform them well with full strength, some helping tools are required. These are known as Yoga Props. They can be wooden blocks, Yoga Danda, Sand bags and Yoga straps etc. Props play an important role in Yoga Practice and increase its accuracy. At Ajarya, Yoga Gurus teach the proper use of Yogic Props and help students to take their advantage and excel their practice. Come and become a part of Ajarya Family to learn more about Yoga Props!!
Picture speaks louder than words 22 February

Is it the self-practise? Or the presence of other students? or the blissful atmosphere in Rishikesh? or the ambience of the class room at Ajarya? Or is ithe prop between the legs? What would make the practise of Chakrasana reach a conclusion? It is definitely a combination of all these. Also, Ajarya teachers are available throughout the course, assisting and cajoling the students, encouraging them to stretch more than they can!
Dedicated Yoga Teachers! 19 February

Our supremely dedicated Yoga Teachers train the students very well. They put their all efforts to make them learnt the basics of Asanas, Vivid Kriyas and correct method of performing Yoga. They monitor their practice and evaluate it simultaneously. Teachers at Ajarya are highly qualified with rich experience. They themselves practice Yoga maintaining their physical and mental fitness. Once students enter in ajarya premises, they become members of Ajarya family and All Gurus take the best care of them enlightening their path of Yoga Learning. They brush up the learning of all yoga aspirants with full dedication.
Apan Vayu Mudra 17 February

Apana Mudra helps in detoxifying by controlling the eliminative functions of the body. It promotes the elimination of useless and harmful elements from our body. To practice this mudra Sit in a comfortable asana (or padmasana) place the thumb, middle finger and ring finger together extending the other fingers. This Mudra should be performed with both hands. To attain maximum benefits, it must be practiced early morning. It helps in easy excretion. The mudra gives us patience, serenity, confidence, inner balance, and harmony. Ajaryans learn the basic of asanas and practice them.
Nadi - Shodhana Pranayama 15 February

Pranayama means “Pran ka Vistaar” or “Extension of life”. It is all about controlling breath for longevity. There are several types of Pranayama having their unique benefits. Nadi shodhana Pranayama or Alternate nostril breathing is one of them. To perform, Sit comfortably in cross-legged position, keeping left hand at Vayu mudra and right hand at Nasika Mudra. Close the right nostril with right thumb and inhale deeply through the left nostril. Then close the left nostril with the ring finger of right hand releasing the right nostril. Regular practice of this Pranayama stimulates Ajna and Mooladhara chakras, balances the swara and normalizes pulse rate keeping it at reduced normal value. Students practiced this Asana @Ajarya.
Assessments 11 February

Learning without any assessment is waste as we can't improve and correct considering what we have learnt, is accurate. Performing poses with 100% accuracy is what makes you a Successful Yoga Teacher. For implementing such improvements in students' performance, Ajarya includes an assessment module in the curriculum. As the course progresses and students keep on learning different poses and mudras, our Yoga Gurus assign some projects in form of Asanas to the students. They practice them and give their final performance in front of the Gurus. Come to Ajarya and learn Authentic Yoga!!
Drawing Scholars of the Day 09 February

It is not rigorous practice sessions all the time. We also offer our students to brush up their creative skills. Creative work shops prepare them to start all over again with same energy. All these Ajaryans turned as drawing scholars for a day and showed their creativity in form of drawing what they have learnt. They all are dedicated students and give their hundred percent to what they do. They enjoy creative sessions as well as are fully attentive towards learning different Asanas .
Cleansing Nasal with Neti 07 February

Jala Neti Kriya is a cleansing practice of the sinus passages with warm saline water. Yogis have practiced it for centuries for its innumerable and powerful benefits. It has extremely wonderful results on mental and physical health of practitioners. This process is best known as the best cure for sinuses. A special neti pot is used for the process and the whole process must be performed under expert guidance. Ajaryans practiced Neti-Kriya with yoga gurus.
Giving a try to Hand-Stand Pose 05 February

More attractive it looks, asks for more efforts also. Ajaryans tried Hand-Stand with full enthusiasm. This wonderful and beneficial pose requires lots of strength and patience. Doing it on your own is not a cakewalk for yoga aspirants. Highly qualified Yoga teachers assist students with the tricks and techniques to perform such postures and poses accurately. Well Beginning is Half Done 03 February

Here we commence the February 2016 batch of Yoga Teacher Training Course. It starts with “Hawan” calling all the positive energies to stay along during the whole course-period for the successful completion. Holiness generated through the Agni-Pooja in all the surroundings of the Yoga Bhavan reflects during the yoga practice as it empowers for performing yoga poses. We wish all the yoga aspirants to stay awakened and dedicated throughout the course.
