Hello everybody!! I’m really excited to meet everyone. I’m from Quebec, Canada.. I just want to let you know that I want to be part of the visit of the Taj and the lift from Delhi to Rishikesh on the 4 of October. And I will probably take the lift back to Delhi at the end of the course.
I hope you will have a great day!
    Namaste

Hi everyone! My name is Shay and I am from Nee Jersey, USA. I would like to opt into the Taj Mahal trip and also both group transfers to and from Delhi/Ridhikesh. Thank you !!

Also I am wondering if anyone is planning to fly from the east coast of the US ( specifically New York or New Jersey area) ? And if so would like to maybe sync our travel plans so we are not alone traveling so far. I am looking into flights from EWR or JFK. Let me know!

      Hi Shay,

I’ll be in Cambodia before coming to India, but the best flight for me to get to Delhi would be landing at 9pm on Oct 2nd.. if you (and others) are thinking of arriving that same day, we could either meet at the airport, or perhaps just plan to stay at the same New Delhi hotel, if your flight ends up coming in at a very different time? :)

    Hi Eliane and everyone else!

I also want to join the group transport both back and forth, and probably also the trip to Taj.. have you found your flights and hotel yet? I was thinking, that maybe we could coordinate a bit :) It’s always easier and more comfortable when you are more people – also cheaper to stay at hotels..!

Btw, I am from Copenhagen, Denmark – also super excited to meet everyone :) It’ll be an amazing month, I’m sure..!

Hi Kira! I think the flights I was looking at also arrive in Delhi around 9 pm oct 2nd but I have to double check. I have not booked my flight yet. I did however already book my hotel in Delhi for a one night stay (oct 2-oct 3) At the moustache hostel. http://www.moustachehostel.com/home.html
I was recommended to stay here by someone else who did the YTT at Ajarya who I spoke to online. She said it is a good safe and clean hostel in Delhi. I actually booked a private room there for myself and I know they have both private rooms and hostel style shared rooms. It was 40 USD for the one night in the private room. I know it is cheaper for a hostel bed. They also provide pick up from the Delhi airport and transfer to the hostel for $15 USD I believe, so you don’t have to worry about taking a taxi. It would be great if anyone else would be staying in the same place for the night!! Let me know if you check out the moustache hostel and like it. Or if you find something better let me know too because I believe I can cancel the booking without fees. Thanks and I’m so excited ! It is becoming more real everyday especially after speaking to you guys !!

      Hey Shay!

I looked at that hostel too, but they Ajarya guys said that it wasn’t good for group pickup since it was in South Delhi and not in Central Delhi – but I’ve also heard about other people doing TCC who has stayed there… maybe if we are a group of people all staying there, it would be ok? Not sure… but I would be up for staying there or somewhere else…and it would be really cool if our flights came in at around the same time.. good to have someone to team up with! :)

Oh man I didn’t know that when I booked at moustache. I’ll have to look into it. Did anyone find a good hotel or hostel in central Delhi ?

    • Kira Sarup-Lytzen said on 30-07-2015

I’ve been looking at a couple of places that Ajarya recommended, but haven’t decided anything yet… I booked my flight, though! I’ll be at New Delhi at 9.05pm on the 2nd of October… so that’s done.. wuhu :)

Hey Shay and Eliane (and anyone else who hasn’t written in here yet), you guys are more than welcome to add me on facebook if you want… seems like it could be a slightly more convenient way to communicate about the small details… I’m the only person on fb with my exact name.. :) If you’re not into the whole fb thing, we’ll just keep this blog thing going..

Talk to you soon! I don’t think we have to rush when it comes to finding a hotel or hostel in Central Delhi, I get the feeling that there are plenty to pick from… and it’s only for 2 nights..

    Hey everyone!

We should make a fb group real fast with who ever found each other, so we can coordinate there as well – I for one forget to check this blog page :) but yeah, let’s all agree on a hostel, that would be great! Perhaps the transport via Ajarya would find the Moustache acceptable if we are all staying there? It does seem like a great option…. I will try to email them.. but yeah, let’s find each other on fb, I’ve already been found by Eliane, Shay and Joana.. so Julian and Helene, you are welcome to find me too.. I’ll make a group for us and add people as they appear on this blog.. :) Then we can also share flight times etc… I for one am moving on to see the philippines after our month in Rishikesh, so if anyone feels like joining, they are more than welcome :)
